OCR802: OnCore Financial Coordination

Description: At UF, the study team is responsible for working with the Principal Investigator to perform a coverage analysis of a human subjects research protocol to determine which procedures can be billed to the sponsor, what costs might be billable to the patient’s insurance provider, and whether the study can be considered a Qualifying Clinical Trial (QCT) according to Medicare regulations.

This information is entered into OnCore using the Coverage Analysis Console. In addition, through the Financials Console, OnCore provides a means to perform a variety of other coverage analysis tasks, including billing designations and budgeting. This course provides an overview of the Coverage Analysis and Financials Consoles.

Target Audience: UF Faculty and staff who are using OnCore to do the following:


  • Review protocol calendar billing designations

  • Review protocol budget information
